Bo Zhang (b. 1988, Harbin, China) is a visual artist mainly focused on painting. She graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2025 with a BFA in Expanded Painting and works primarily in Munich. Before focusing fully on art, Zhang completed a PhD in Traffic Psychology at the University of Twente and worked in user experience research.

Zhang uses oil and acrylic on canvas, often reflecting on small moments and quiet details of everyday life. In her work, these moments evolve into paintings where colour subtly shifts, forms blur, and perspective gently bends. Deeply personal and reflective, her work is often shaped by her life with animals, particularly birds, and her enduring interest in how humans interact with the world around them.
